Bring your blankets, chairs, and holiday cheer. Come at 6:45 for popcorn, cookies, hot cocoa, and more surprises. The movie begins at 7pm.

Join us for Day of Service 2024 with Hope for San Diego! You’ll join hundreds of families and individuals to support our local, under-served neighbors in San Diego. Pick from 20+ projects across the county at various locations and organizations. Together, we’re embodying what it means to be a hopeful presence in our communities.

Hope For San Diego has identified 4 groups of people facing the greatest needs in San Diego: at-risk youth, survivors of trafficking, refugees & immigrants, and those experiencing homelessness.

We would love for you to join us for a day trip to Mexico to partner with local Foursquare missionaries, Don and Sandy Godwin and Hope Chapel, Rosarito to provide backpacks filled with supplies to the children of the church they planted in the village, Vista Marina. We will also be able to put on a church service for the community. The plan is to leave the church at 8 a.m. and return at 7 p.m. We will be having dinner at Jeremiah’s favorite taco shop in the world before coming home.

Made for This Sports + Art Camp where kids discover passion and purpose in arts and sports as they hear about the God who made them! Each night kids will enjoy a light dinner, learn a sport, and try out a new art skill. This exciting 3-day camp will be followed up with a bonus family night on Thursday, with games, food, and parent v kids scrimmages. This camp is designed for kids entering K-6th grade. Did you know that Jewish Family Services runs a Safe Parking Program here in the church’s neighborhood? Every night, they provide safety, security, and support for unsheltered San Diegans living out of their vehicles, many of whom are experiencing homelessness for the first time.
We have a hands-on opportunity to make a tangible difference by providing, and serving, a warm meal to the guests at the Mission Village Drive location. Email Pastor Lorissa if you are interested in joining the serving team.

Our friends at World Relief have reached out with an urgent need for diapers and wipes for the Haitian community they serve in San Diego. While all-sized diapers are welcome, larger sizes are much needed. Bring your donations to church on Sundays now through Mother’s Day. You can even shop our Amazon Wish List and have the diapers delivered directly to the church.
Hop into spring with our annual Serra Mesa Community Easter Egg Hunt! Join us for an egg-citing day filled with fun, games, and of course, 8,000 eggs. This is a free event open to the whole community, so bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a day of egg-hunting fun.
In addition to the egg hunt, we will have a range of activities for children of all ages. We will have bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, a train, and fun games for the young and young at heart. There will also be a free picnic lunch.
The hunt starts promptly at 11am - don’t miss it!
So bring your baskets, a picnic blanket, and get ready for some fun! We look forward to seeing you there!
Christmas is about coming together to celebrate the coming of Christ. Serve with us, in partnership with For the Sake of the City and Hope For San Diego, at Christmas Together on December 9th! This event is a celebration of all the good happening in our city in the spheres of art, music, faith, and justice. View more information about Christmas Together here.
Featuring live music by local artists, local marketplace vendors, local nonprofit organizations, children’s activities, and an interactive art exhibit, Christmas Together will communicate what is beautiful and true and unchanging in forms accessible to people today.
Be a part of this event by volunteering in a number of ways, such as helping with kids’ activities, serving on the welcome team, or being a part of the set-up team. Our church has been asked specifically to help with the kids' activities, including the bounce house. View all volunteer roles here.
Our church is teaming up with Hope for San Diego to pour out God’s love toward families this holiday season.
Carefully selected by our affiliates, Hope for San Diego’s effort is directed to those who are in crisis or most in need this Christmas. Whether they’ve experienced a medical emergency, a housing crisis, or a lost job during the year, many of our neighbors can’t afford a Christmas celebration for their households.

Walk with CAPS on Sunday, October 22 at Liberty Station! Join us at 4PM at Bldg 177 for the kick-off and opening prayer. Prayer points and a walk route will be provided through the adjacent park. Join back at Bldg 177 for a light dinner and festivities at 5PM.

Our church has the opportunity to prepare and serve dinner for the new Overcomers families starting at Solutions for Change in Vista. We will not only be providing essential food for these previously homeless families, but also become a part of the supportive community that they experience at Solutions for Change. Volunteers of all ages are welcome—this is a fantastic opportunity for families, kids can help serve food and are encouraged to play with the younger residents, too. Dinner will be served in an outdoor area. We encourage you to eat with the SFC residents and make connections!

Come help with food distribution to the Mira Mesa community with Love Acts Ministries and Feeding San Diego! Volunteers from the community can serve from 12:00 pm – 3 pm, helping to unload, sort, box, and distribute the food. It is a great way to help in our local community. We also need volunteers who are able to lift heavy boxes when we unload a truck at Noon.
Families with school-age children are welcome.
Come “get down” with fun for the whole family! This will be an evening of activities, authentic food from Mama Africa, a live funk band, and inspiring stories. Your support of Hope for San Diego means more under-served children and families will receive exactly what they need to thrive as God intended.

Kids 12 and under are free. This event will be super family-friendly with kid’s activities like a bouncy house and crafts. We'll feature catering from Mama Africa and a live funk band led by Haley Montgomery of Communion Church. Then, the kids will enjoy a program by The Well for about 45 minutes while the adults hear stories of transformation from HFSD beneficiaries.

For the month of August we get to help Olive Crest serve children survivors of domestic abuse.
Olive Crest has recently partnered with Your Safe Place, a drop-in center where survivors of domestic abuse can receive the services they need. Olive Crest's Host Family's will be caring for children as their Mom plans their next best step.
Olive Crest desires their office to be a kid friendly space and is in need of toys for children ages 1-14.
