Art Day

Join us for Art Day. Spend some time learning about an artist and then creating some art together. We will be sending out a list of supplies needed for this project. Join Pastor Deb’s favorite Art teacher, Ms. Liz Harley for a creative experience in art!

We are going to do an art lesson based on the work of Paul Klee. You will learn about this artist and then you'll get down to making art in his style.

Here are the supplies needed to join in with us. This are all pretty basic supplies so I am pretty sure you'll find what you need at home.

  • Crayons of assorted colors- if parents happen to have oil pastels at home (Crayola makes a set for kids) those work great also.

  • Black crayon. This is crucial. Each child needs to have their own

  • 6x9 blank index card, or heavy weight paper or card stock. This is just an approximate size - no need to stress. Computer paper works ok also. But they are going to press very hard with the crayon and sometimes paper rips.

  • Plastic spoon, toothpick, wooden skewer..... anything with an edge. They are going to use this to "draw".

So gather your supplies and log into Zoom at 9:55 on Thursday morning so we will be ready for Ms. Liz at 10:00. If your child is not yet in 1st grade, they may need a parent to join them for the art lesson. Looking forward to seeing you all. I sure do miss you!

Email Pastor Deb for the Zoom link.
